Introduction

Pokhara University follows semester system. Testing and evaluation of students allow them to progress at a pace appropriate to their individual abilities and standard requirements of the academic program. Course instructors maintain internal evaluation of students and the Office of the Controller of Examinations conducts the final exams at the end of respective semesters. Each course contains credit hours based on the number of lectures, tutorials and practical works in a week. Normally one credit is equivalent to 15 hour lecture. The minimum number of class hours for a course of three credits is approximately 48 hours in a semester.

Examinations & Graduation
 
The Controller of Examinations conducts the final examinations at the end of respective semester. The examination timetable will be published two weeks prior to the start of the examination period. It display time, date, duration, and examination centers.

The Controller of Examinations makes arrangements for ceremonies. A graduate wishing to attend the graduation ceremony should submit request form to the Office of the Controller of Examinations.  Degrees, Diplomas, honors and medals will be awarded to graduates at the graduation ceremonies.
